Goji Superfood Energy Bites for Dogs provide both quick energy from dates and maple syrup as well as sustained energy from almond butter. They’re great to take along on hikes, long walks or anytime your dog needs a wholesome, healthy snack.
1TBGlean sweet potato flour, I highly recommend you add this to your plant-based pantry as it’s a great grain-free flour! While not organic, sweet potatoes are not part of the Environmental Working Group’s “Dirty Dozen” list of highly-sprayed produce.
1TBfind-ground organic coconut, unsweetened
1TBorganic carob powder, I used TerraSoul brand
1TBorganic almond butter, sub peanut, cashew, sunflower butter or tahini
1TBorganic maple syrup
2organic medjool dates, if stiff, soak for about 30 minutes in hot water and drain the liquid
1TBwater, or more if needed
1/4cuporganic goji berries, Soak in hot water for a few minutes to soften and make them more digestible. You can also grind them into the mixture if necessary. I use Sunfood brand.

Please be aware that these are ENERGY balls and so they contain quite a bit of calories from the dates (quick energy) and almond butter (slow energy). These are a great when you need a high-energy treat, but be cautious how much you feed otherwise!
