Let’s face it, the term “doggy breath” is not a compliment! Companion dogs need their teeth brushed just like humans, and if their oral health isn’t taken care of, it can lead to a host of problems, ranging from bad breath to serious periodontal disease. But even with proper oral care, sometimes dogs just get – doggy breath. There are many products available claiming to freshen your dog’s breath, but the problem is that many of these treats aren’t necessarily healthy. Enter my Fresh Dog Breath Cookies – the healthy way to freshen your dog’s breath!

Many breath-freshening treats contain common allergens, and some of the bone breath fresheners may even pose a choking hazard if you are not careful. So, what’s the alternative? On top of brushing your pet’s teeth regularly, you can whip up a batch of these deliciously minty treats for an afternoon breath refresher your dog will absolutely love.

My Fresh Dog Breath Cookies contain healthy ingredients and are free of common allergens. They are also packed full of natural ingredients, so you know your dog is getting something healthy!

Here are some of the superfood ingredients in my Fresh Dog Breath Cookies:

  • Parsley: Parsley is an excellent addition to this recipe as it helps to naturally freshen the breath. Parsley is rich in chlorophyll, a natural deodorizer which helps to beat bad breath.
  • Mint: One of the most well-known benefits of mint is its ability to freshen breath. You will find fresh mint leaves in this treat recipe which is far superior to the artificial mint flavoring you would find in many store-bought treats.
  • Baking Soda: Believe it or not, baking soda can help freshen breath by neutralizing built-up acid stuck on teeth.
  • Coconut oil: Coconut oil is great for many different things, but it can also help fight stinky dog breath. This oil is also a great all natural antimicrobial which is great for keeping your pet’s immune system healthy and fighting off bacteria in the mouth.
